Feature: Toxic Flea and Tick Treatments

Dangerous Pesticides in Flea and Tick Treatments

Although safer options exist for controlling fleas on our pets, many flea and tick treatments contain dangerous pesticides. Even when applied as instructed on the box, these chemicals are not safe, either for pets or humans. NRDC petitioned the EPA and sued manufacturers and retailers for selling these dangerous products without any warning labels. These products should not be on store shelves.
