Yuqi Li

I am Yuqi Li, professor senior engineer, work for DSM Technical Center of Natural Resources Defense Council, China program in Beijing as director and chief engineer, focusing on the Demand Side Management (DSM). I have been involved in pilot EPP projects in Jiangsu, Shangai, Hebei, Sichuan, Chongqing and Beijing to promote energy efficiency as a cost effective energy resource in China to abate green house gas emission and combat climate change and help China reach its energy efficiency target.

Prior to NRDC, I have been involved in the energy management and energy conservation work for more than 30 years in industry and building. I managed many international energy management projects (EU-China energy management program, China motor system optimization project, EUEEP project etc.) sponsored by EU, UNIDO, NDRC/UNDP/GEF, WB/ADB etc. for more than 30 years. I have cooperated in energy management training, energy auditing and energy conservation technology with international governmental organizations and institutions such as EU and its member countries; DOE and EPA, LBNL,USA.
