About
- Bio:
I studied political science at UCLA and went to graduate school in Sacramento. After a three year stint working for two California legislators, I moved to the Bay Area for a job with a foster youth advocacy organization. I joined NRDC’s San Francisco office in 2002 and now work to pass legislation that reduces global warming pollution, creates green jobs, and that protects children’s health and California’s natural resources. In my free time I try to get outside as much as possible and enjoy hiking, mountain biking, camping and walking on the beach.
- Roots in:
- Milwaukee, but I also grew up in Tucson and Anchorage, Alaska. I was actually born in Anchorage making me a native Alaskan.
- Favorite place:
- I love all that California has to offer: beautiful beaches, Lake Tahoe and the Sierras, Yosemite, the Lost Coast.
- Why "environmentalism" matters:
- Because resources are limited and future generations should inherit a planet that has clean air, clean water, open space, beautiful places to relax and refresh, and that is free from toxic pollutants that make us sick.
