Who Loses If Gingrich Gets His Wish to Abolish the EPA?

Gingrich tells AP that "We need to have an agency that is first of all limited, but cooperates with the 50 states," Gingrich said. "The EPA is based on bureaucrats centered in Washington issuing regulations and litigation and basically opposing things."
Actually, the person who is totally disconnected because he's so DC focused is Gingrich. The EPA is based on being what's in between people and pollution; its the way we provide some basic protections to kids and families and communities that live in the shadow of the nation's dirtiest polluters.

Growing up in the oil fields of West Texas, I was made aware of the EPA's role in protecting my air and water at an early age. I am thankful to have grown up without ruined well water, and clean sands to roam in. I wish men like Gingrich would get their boots dirty in some of the messes that have been made recently. I write messes, but should have written disasters.
