100 Montana Businesses Support Strong Climate and Energy Legislation

There has been a lot of attention paid to PG&E, PNM Resources, Nike and Johnson & Johnson for their public condemnation of the US Chamber position on climate change and their support for federal policy to promote clean energy and protect the climate.

When it comes to recognizing the opportunities and necessity of moving America forward to a clean energy future, these companies aren't alone.

One hundred Montana business leaders have signed on to a letter calling for comprehensive climate and energy legislation.

John Bacon, business manager of a 135-megawatt wind project in Montana, said in a news release:

"Renewable energy technologies like wind and even solar have a great potential to provide rural communities a needed tax base and employment opportunities."

Kudos to Climate Solutions and CERES for coordinating with Montana businesses to get their voices heard.
