USA Today carried an Op-Ed by Peter Lehner about lessons learned from the Gulf oil spill and the need to break our dangerous addiction to oil; another Editorial on a similar topic in the Charlotte Observer also quoted Peter… In the Miami Herald, David Hawkins expressed disappointment that the Obama administration is not supporting a major lawsuit to strengthen limits on global warming pollution from power plants… Simon Mui spoke with the Calgary Herald about a new report on pollution caused by tar sands oil…

 

Reuters circulated a blog by Frances Beinecke on NRDC’s Clean by Design project, which helps companies green their supply chains; the blog was also carried by GreenBiz.comFast Company explained that with NRDC’s guidance, Walmart, H&M, Nike, Levi and other companies will be able to reduce pollution while saving significant amounts of money… In the New York Times’ Green blog, Eric Goldstein discussed the need to strengthen a bill pending in New York City that would help consumers identify environmentally responsible dry cleaners… Darby Hoover spoke about the progress made in recycling nationwide on CNBC.com
