US Fish and Wildlife Service: Public Comment Wanted...(Just Kidding)

SustainableBusiness.com reports that public opinion research funded by NRDC Action Fund and others shows 80% of Americans support the development of alternative and renewable energy; in the piece NRDC President Frances Beinecke speaks about American’s desire to take a path to clean energy rather than continue the dead-end journey of dirty fuels… Seattle Post Intelligencer’s Secret Ingredients pulled comments from Jen Sass’ blog on a stealth attempt by the Bush Administration to weaken health protection standards…While the San Francisco Chronicle’s Thin Green Line reports that after announcing plans to gut the endangered species act, the Fish and Wildlife service has also decided limit the ways they will accept commentary (there will be no emails, and no faxes); in response NRDC Action Fund has set up a site where irate citizens can submit comments electronically to be relayed to the Fish and Wildlife Service.
