The National Commission on the BP Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill and Offshore Drilling released its final report yesterday.  Frances Beinecke, in her role as commission member, continues to speak with a range of press outlets about the report’s findings and recommendations. 

Frances spoke to TIME Magazine about systematic problems in the oil and gas industry … Frances was also quoted in The Washington Post about the role Congress can play in addressing the recommendations… Frances spoke about the need for tighter federal safety rules for drilling with Agence France Presse

In an E&E Daily piece, Frances discussed the oil commission’s recommendations and her hopes that Congress will pay significant attention to the Commission’s findings… Firedoglake.com pulled extended quotes from Frances’ Huffington Post blog on the topic, and an interview that OnEarth magazine conducted with Frances was reposted by OpEdNews.com…
