The June issue of National Geographic carried a full page article on the economic and ecological benefits of driving less; the piece was conceived of, and researched over several months, in collaboration with Luke Tonachel…Darby Hoover was quoted in a TIME magazine article that highlighted the decision of several soccer teams to don jerseys made from recycled plastic while competing in this year’s World Cup… A piece featured in Businessweek included a statement issued by NRDC that expressed its support for EPA’s newly proposed transport rule, which would cut down on harmful air pollution… TIME’s Ecocentric blog quoted from, and linked to, a Switchboard post by David Doniger about the importance of a strong Clean Air Act…. A Living Green blog post featured by The Chicago Tribune quoted Paul McRandle at length on ways to be eco-friendly and sustainable… The Associated Press reported that NRDC has intervened in a Washington state lawsuit in support of strong energy standards.
