Sarah Janssen explained why stronger chemical regulations are needed for the common antibacterial soap ingredient triclosan in an LIVE interview with CNN American Morning… Mae Wu also spoke about the topic on ABC 7 (DC) [Watch Here]… In a FRONT PAGE USA Today article reporting that the US Military’s “green projects” could save $1.6 billion over time, Scott Slesinger applauded the military for taking action to improve energy efficiency while also noting that the military’s toxic waste management methods could still be improved… In Reuters, Jake Schmidt emphasized that even without a binding treaty international steps are still being taken to address climate change… In the Associated Press Tom Cochran cautioned that that just a small amount of highly enriched uranium in the wrong hands could pose a large threat to national security…

Liz Alter warned that it would be reckless to set long term catch limits for pacific gray whales when the future of the population is unclear in an Associated Press article featured in AP’s national news feed… Robert Redford and Julia Louis-Dreyfus spoke about their environmental activism and relationship with NRDC in a special environmental-themed issue of Delta Sky Magazine, distributed on all Delta airplanes… An ESPN  article on the recent “Salmon Summit” in California optimistically reported on the budding understanding between environmental and fishing communities interested in rebuilding the West Coast’s dwindling salmon population; Barry Nelson spoke with the author at length…
