Frances Beinecke was featured as the first of several environmental leaders commenting on Obama’s environmental record in a Mother Nature Network piece; Frances’ book Clean Energy Common Sense was also mentioned… An environmental debate between Robert Kennedy Jr. and coal company leader Don Blankenship was carried by the web-based environmental network Clean Skies… The Charleston Daily Mail also covered the debate including commentary from Melissa Waage...
Inside EPA reported on the appointment of Nancy Stoner to EPA’s water program; an unnamed industry source in the article described Nancy as “a hammer” who is sure to find “a lot of nails”… Michael Wall praised a federal court decision ordering the clean up of the decaying “Ghost Fleet” anchored off Benicia Bay, California in an article posted to NBC’s Bay Area news site… The Contra Costa Times also quoted Michael on the hazardous effects produced by rotting paint from these “ghost” ships…
