Karen Wayland calls the offshore drilling debate “a distraction from real solutions” in a front page CNNMoney.com article… The Christian Science Monitor draws attention to NRDC Action Fund public opinion statistics showing that 83 percent of Americans would like to “end America's addiction to oil” and invest renewable technology; the piece also highlights NRDC Action Fund’s “Snake Oil” ad… Several blogs (including Christian Science Monitor, Newsday, Chicago Tribune, and Gristmill), quoted Andrew Wetzler regarding attempts by the Bush administration to gut the Endangered Species Act. Andrew spoke on the topic live on KCBS radio yesterday...
In the San Francisco Chronicle Michael Jasny was quoted saying the recent Navy agreement to restrict loud sonar blasts in sensitive ocean areas balances the Navy’s ability to train with the health of whales… Eric Goldstein spoke about a New York City Council bill that will fine stores for air- conditioning city sidewalks in the New York Times and several blogs… And in another Associated Press article, NRDC’s involvement in a ban on possession of highly enriched uranium by civilians is mentioned.
