National Journal noted the success of the recent 24-hour campaign to stop the Keystone XL rider, quoting Susan Casey-Lefkowitz on the “big anti-Valentine for tar sands”; the Keystone campaign was also covered in Montreal Gazette, International Business Times, Fuelfix blog, Edmonton Journal, and numerous other outlets… A Macleans article on energy security quoted Anthony Swift extensively, reminding us that true energy security can only be achieved by weaning America off of oil and other fossil fuels… 

Bloomberg BNA reported on the “Rooftop to Rivers” water runoff report, and quoted Noah GarrisonAmy Mall spoke with E&E News, and praised the President’s decision to fund extensive research on the environmental and health risks of fracking…

Deron Lovaas, David Goldston, and Scott Slesinger were each quoted in a DCStreetsblog piece on the “worst ever” house transportation bill; NRDC was also mentioned in opposition to the bill in the Orlando Sentinel, and Fuelfix blog, among others… Daniel Rosenberg commented in E&E News on the funding increase for the EPA in President Obama’s budget proposal, saying that while the funding will help, EPA must have the political capital as well to regulate chemicals and protect public health… and a feature on quoted Scott Slesinger, who also stressed the importance of political support for EPA’s objectives…
