Andrew Wetzler commented in the Los Angeles Times  about a decision to restore federal protections for Yellowstone grizzly bears, saying that “it reflects the growing recognition, not just by the courts but by the executive branch as well, that global warming is completely transforming natural places across the West”… Andrew was also quoted in a McClatchy Newspapers articled carried by the Salt Lake Tribune about the restoration of the Endangered Species Act protection for Yellowstone grizzly bears…  Louisa Willcox spoke with the Idaho Statesman about the decision, noting that Yellowstone grizzly bears are forced into conflicts with humans as whitebark pine disappears… Louisa was also quoted in the National Parks Traveler, MSNBC.com, The Republic, Kansas City Star, Seattle Post-Intelligencer, Bellingham Herald and Bangor Daily News about the court’s ruling…

In an interview with PBS NewsHour, Henry Henderson discussed invasive quagga mussels in the Great Lakes, explaining that the invasive species “wreck the life that's in there and create a new ecosystem that is dangerous for our health and safety in fundamentally devastating ways”… The Economist referred to NRDC’s alternative plan for management of the invasive Asian Carp in the Chicago River…

David Hawkins expressed concerns about the EPA’s decision to delay a mid-December deadline for greenhouse gas emissions rules on oil refineries in AOL EnergyYang Fuqiang commented in The Guardian about China’s recent report on the progress the country has made to ease greenhouse gases, and the strategy it will adopt at next week's climate talks in Durban, South Africa… A National Geographic’s The Great Energy Challenge article referred to Dana Gundersblog post on alarming facts about Thanksgiving leftovers and food waste. Dana’s blog post about holiday food waste was also cited in 89.3 KPCC Pacific Swell blog and reposted in Grist.org
