In an inspiring Op-Ed run by The Hill, Frances Beinecke encouraged readers to "rally the American spirit" just as they did when we landed on the moon 40 years ago and come together in support of the American Clean Energy and Security (ACES)... "Bob Edwards Weekend", which airs on both Sirius XM Radio and Public Radio International, ran "My Art & My Activism," an interview with Robert Redford that took place at a recent NRDC event at Lincoln Center...

Roland Hwang spoke with USA TODAY about the recent move by German auto-manufacturers to ramp up production of high-end, fuel efficient hybrid vehicles and the role they could play in spurring innovation and driving down the costs of hybrid technology... In a Bloomberg News article Simon Mui lambasted a biased report from the Alberta Energy Research Institute for selectively choosing data to falsely improve the environmental image of tar sands extraction... A New York Times' Green Inc. blog about technological innovations in the textile industry quoted Susan Egan Keane and looked at NRDC's work with China to decrease waste and pollution caused by textile production...While in Paris' Le Monde newspaper Alex Wang discussed Chinese environmentalist Ma Jun's work highlighting illegal water and air pollution in China; NRDC is currently collaborating with Ma Jun and the Chinese government to create the nation's first ever Pollution Information Transparency Index (PITI).
