The Associated Press reports that NRDC intends to sue the US Fish and Wildlife service over an attempt to remove protections for an endangered species in Wyoming while maintaining protections in Colorado; Sylvia Fallon comments on the ludicrous decision, pointing out that “Mice don't read maps; it makes no sense for protections to end at the state line"… Newsday details opposition by NYPIRG, NRDC and other groups to a NY energy relief bill that would take funds produced by the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI) and put them towards subsidizing the costs of fossil fuels… In Albany Times Union Eric Goldstein points out that the legitimate environmental concerns connected with the Belleayre resort will be thoroughly reviewed in an upcoming environmental review… David Goldstein gives mixed reviews of LEED building standards in Long Island Business News… In the Glendale News Press Ralph Cavanagh criticizes Prop 7, the proposed California energy measure, for being misguided and containing ‘competition elimination’ provisions that would force small alternative energy providers out of the market. United Press International reports that Sheryl Crow has teamed up with Whole Foods to produce a reusable tote bag that will support NRDC’s eco-lifestyle Simple Steps program
