Louisa Willcox spoke with the Associated Press about the federal government’s decision to forego endangered species protections for the ailing whitebark pine due to a lack of funding; Louisa was also quoted in the Salt Lake Tribune on the issue... In the Washington Post, Andrew Wetzler stressed that, with species like the whitebark pine in crisis, this is not the time for Congress to consider cutting off all funds for the Endangered Species Act; the New York Times’ Green blog also quoted Andrew… In a Casper Star-Tribune article carried by the Billings Gazette, Sylvia Fallon explained that the decline of the whitebark pine is a dramatic sign of how quickly our climate is changing…
