Kate Sinding spoke with the New York Times in advance of an editorial urging caution and calling for more conservative natural gas drilling regulations to protect NYC's water supplies... Lane Burt explained what the EPA and the Energy Department are doing to help ensure that Energy Star appliances are as efficient as they can be in another New York Times article... Allen Hershkowitz praised a move by some big retailers to reward customers for using re-usable bags in USA TODAY, pointing out that the initiatives will both keep bags out of the landfill and encourage other big retailers to follow suit...

In the Houston Chronicle Dan Lashof emphasized the importance and significance of bi-partisan support for the Senate climate bill... The Virginian-Pilot, the Post and Courier and several other outlets reported that NRDC has petitioned to have the Atlantic sturgeon listed as an endangered species; both Brad Sewell and Kate Slusark spoke to the media about the dwindling populations of the fish made famous by its caviar.
