In USA Today, Bob Deans commented on recent poll results that found the economy takes precedent over other issues such as the environment in Americans’ current list of top priorities… Shannon Fisk outlined an array of reasons for public disapproval of a proposed Consumers Energy coal plant in Michigan on Detroit Public Radio’s “Craig Fahle Show”  … A National Journal article discusses a new NRDC report that details the auto industry jobs that could be generated by comprehensive climate and energy legislation; the report was also picked up so far by The Daily Green, MLive.com and other outlets…

 

Deron Lovaas explained how our oil dependence affects our economy and our wallets, in a Houston Business Journal article about a new NRDC white paper that ranks the vulnerability of states to rising gas prices; the paper made headlines in other outlets such as the South Florida Business Journal, Tampa Bay Business Journal and the Dallas Business Journal… In the Stockton Record, Monty Schmitt commented on the landmark return of water to the San Joaquin River… A Charleston Gazette  “Coal Tattoo” blog links to Rob Perksblog when discussing a study that attempted to quantify the carbon dioxide released during mountaintop removal mining…
