In The Washington Post, Susan Casey-Lefkowitz commented on the Exxon oil spill in the Yellowstone River and the need for greater oil pipeline safety across the country; Susan was also quoted on the spill in Greenwire and Mother Nature Network, among other outlets Bob Deans was interviewed on MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell Reports, where he warned against the risk of similar spills throughout the United States due to old pipelines and a lack of sufficient safety measures… In an interview that aired on Chicago Public Radio WBEZ, Cleveland Public Radio, and the entire Michigan Public Radio network, Josh Mogerman elaborated on the threat tar sands oil poses to the Great Lakes, especially due to pipeline issues throughout the region…

Damon Nagami commented in the Los Angeles Times on a legal settlement that will bring greater environmental and health protections to a Los Angeles community where oil drilling takes place; Damon was also quoted in the Los Angeles Daily News and the Los Angeles Wave… On CBS’s BNET news site, Roland Hwang discussed the ability of automakers to meet higher fuel efficiency standards… The Hill’s E2 Wire blog highlighted ads being run by NRDC on Capitol Hill that support new light bulb efficiency standards and the consumer savings they will bring…  On MLB.com, Darby Hoover commended Major League Baseball for its efforts to reduce the environmental impact of the approaching All-Star Game; NRDC has again partnered with MLB to implement eco-friendly measures…
