In the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Frances Beinecke called yesterday’s votes in the U.S. Senate to protect the EPA’s ability to regulate global warming pollution a victory for clean air and public health … Franz Matzner explained that the Senate upheld the EPA’s ability to protect us from life-threatening air pollution in a Los Angeles Times  story; the piece was carried in outlets across the country, including the Chicago Tribune and Miami Herald… In a McClatchy Newspapers article, David Doniger stressed that science won out in yesterday’s Senate proceedings; various outlets published the article, including the Miami Herald and the Sacramento BeeScott Slesinger spoke with Fortune on CNN.com about the ongoing budget negotiations, explaining that environmental groups will keep working to ensure that Congress does not block the EPA from doing its job…

In a USA Today article on rising hybrid car sales, Roland Hwang commented on the entry of hybrids into the mainstream market… China Radio International, China’s central radio station, interviewed Yang Fuqiang about the ongoing international climate negotiations taking place in Bangkok…The Hill’s Congress blog published an Op-Ed coauthored by Rich Kassel, in which he argues that Congress should continue to fund a federal effort to reduce pollution from millions of diesel engines across the United States…
