The Christian Science Monitor quoted Frances Beinecke in an article on Halliburton’s role in the Gulf oil spill; Frances said “There were some real communication gaps, a lot of management errors, a lot of lack of information offshore and onshore, and among contractors”… Jake Schmidt spoke to the Washington Post regarding the sluggish pace of the climate discussions in Durban… Jake was also quoted in a Reuters article, on the sticky situation China finds itself in at the negotiations…

Reuters reported on the Dimock, Pennsylvania, fracking water supply emergency, and quoted Kate Sinding, who brought attention to the fact that Cabot Oil and Gas is required by Pennsylvania law to replace the water supply that they have contaminated… Joel Reynolds went on Alaska Public Radio to discuss NRDC’s recent survey results showing that U.S. residents in the lower 48, as well as Alaskans, oppose the proposed Pebble Mine project…

Aaron Colangelo vehemently countered the idea that children regularly ingesting rat poison is an “acceptable risk” in an article for Center for Media and Democracy’s PR Watch; this article also ran on Truth-out.org… In Huffington Post Green, USGBC president Rick Fedrizzi announced a partnership with NRDC to form the “Coalition for Better Buildings”… and an International Business Times article listed NRDC as one anti-fracking group that sent drinking water to Dimock so that residents would not have to go without…
