In a front-page story in the San Francisco Chronicle, Tina Swanson commented on the recent report that the increased pumping of freshwater to Central Valley farms threatens to turn parts of the San Francisco Bay into salty, fishless backwaters … In a Greenwire article picked up by the New York Times, Daniel Rosenberg expressed concern over the EPA’s decision to delay its assessment of health risks posed by probable carcinogen trichloroethylene (TCE) as well as the White House’s interference in the EPA’s Integrated Risk Management System (IRIS), which is tasked with assessing the environmental and human health risks posed by chemicals…
