In an article in Facing South, the online magazine for the Institute of Southern Studies, Frances Beinecke, acting in her role as a member of the Oil Spill Commission, pledged to take the serious health concerns of the Gulf residents back to President Obama…  David Pettit penned an Op-Ed for the New Orleans Times Picayune about the Oil Spill Commission’s findings on the Deepwater Horizon disaster, and why tighter regulations need to be enacted to protect the people and environment of that region… The Huffington Post reported on NRDC’s project with StoryCorps and Bridge the Gulf, “Stories from the Gulf: Living with the BP Oil Disaster," reposting the most recent StoryCorps video featuring Rosina and Geraldine Philippe members of the Atakapa Tribe in Grand Bayou Village, Louisiana…
