In a Washington Post article about the rejected bans on bluefin tuna and polar bear trading, Andrew Wetzler spoke about the action needed to save these animals from extinction. This story was also covered by the Associated Press, Christian Science Monitor, and Newscientist.com, among others. In a Reuters article on the same topic, Wetzler also commented on the widespread “acknowledgement that global warming is posing a huge challenge to these species”…

 

In a CNBC Consumer Nation online article Deron Lovaas stressed that high gas prices are partly driven by a lack of public transportation options… Amy Mall called for a full scientific inquiry into the environmental impact of hydraulic fracturing in a Greenwire article picked up by the New York TimesDan Lashof was quoted in The Hill E2 Wire blog on a meeting between Senator Kerry and top environmentalists about a climate and clean energy bill... Jennifer Sass was a guest columnist in Louisiana’s Daily Comet on the dangers of atrazine in American drinking water… Allen Hershkowitz commented that mountaintop removal is too costly a way to obtain coal in Nashville Scene magazine.
