In an NPR Morning Edition news piece Wesley Warren, NRDC's director of Programs, talks about oil industry’s exploitation of the Bailout Bill as an opportunity to get funds for dirty fuels written into legislation… In the Gary Post Tribune, Ann Alexander points out revelations that BP may have started a refinery expansion project three years before receiving the appropriate permit show BP’s ongoing disrespect for the permitting process… Robert F Kennedy Jr. directs readers of his Huffington Post blog to NRDC Action Fund website CandidAnswers.org “to learn where candidates for Congress stand on the most important environmental issues facing our country”… NBC11.com San Francisco, reports on the hidden hazards of home cleaning supplies, drawing attention to NRDC’s report on the presence of phthalates in air-fresheners… And in an editorial, the Contra Costa Times calls on voters to realize the counter-intuitive consequences of Prop. 7 and to vote “No” on the ballot measure, a measure opposed by energy groups and environmentalists alike.
