Frances Beinecke was quoted in a Bloomberg article about companies developing products to help the world adapt to climate change. Frances cautioned that while rich countries are able to devote resources to adaptation, they have been slow to live up to commitments to help developing nations... In a Mother Jones article on the Cancun climate talks, Jake Schmidt spoke about his expectations for the talks and a final climate agreement. Jake’s blog post on the climate conference was picked up by Greener World Media and carried on Reuters

In an article on CNN.com, Andrew Wetzler praised the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service for designating the land in the north coast of Alaska as critical habitat for the polar bears. Andrew was also quoted in the New York Times, The Hill’s E2 Blog, and Treehugger about the designation… David Goldston spoke with USA Today’s Greenhouse blog about the shift in Obama’s climate agenda with the new Republican majority in the House…

Mona Yew spoke with CNN Money about China’s expanding energy consumption and the Chinese government’s response to meet an energy reduction pledge… Noah Horowitz gave advice on when to keep your old fridge, and when to upgrade for the sake of the environment in the San Francisco Chronicle… In the Boston Globe, Brad Sewell warned that Atlantic sturgeon are in danger of becoming extinct, highlighting pollution, climate change, and cargo ships as top threats to the species…
