In an hour long live interview on Wisconsin Public Radio’s Conversations with Kathleen Dunn, OnEarth’s George Black talks about his cover story on the impact global warming might have on nations like Bangladesh… In the LA Times blog Greenspace Nick Ziegelbaum explains that while NRDC is no longer opposed to Gov. Schwarzenegger’s California green building plan, NRDC has every intention of staying involved in future revisions… CNNMoney.com criticizes GM chairman Rick Wagoner for lack of market anticipation and for failing to heed predictions like those made by NRDC three years ago regarding the negative impact oil prices would have on America if Detroit failed to respond to the rising cost of oil. 

The Associated Press reports that NRDC and four other environmental groups have filed a lawsuit to halt construction on a Duke Energy coal-fired power plant being built in North Carolina… Eric Goldstein expresses his displeasure for consumer use of Styrofoam food containers in an AM New York article reporting on the call by some NY politicians to ban Styrofoam from city restaurants… Kate Slusark talks about the “Save our Seas” message of Margo Pellegrino’s canoe trip to Washington DC in the Asbury Park Press…
