The New York Times ran an editorial today calling on the Supreme Court to require the Navy to take reasonable measures to protect marine life from the health threats of sonar… In a widely reprinted Associated Press piece Josh Mogerman emphasizes the sourness of tar sands extraction and their doubly dubious environmental impact: double the carbon output of oil at the cost of an ancient forest and carbon reserve… Theo Spenser is quoted repeatedly in Canadian papers, including the Calgary Herald, regarding the incompatibility of tar sands investments and the conservation goals of the Western Governors’ Association… Hernando Today reports NRDC research used to support a no-idle bill passed unanimously by county commissioners in Florida.
