A National Journal online article pulled quotes from Frances Beinecke’s Switchboard blog stressing the continued importance of working toward comprehensive energy and climate legislation… Frances also spoke about the significance of the approval of the Cape Wind clean energy project in the Boston HeraldNathanael Greene spoke on KCRW & Public Radio International’s “To the Point” about the pros and cons of the Cape Wind project…

In USA Today’s GreenHouse blog, Kaid Benfield discussed the new LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) for Neighborhood Development program that launched today; this program is the “first national program to score the eco-friendliness of entire neighborhoods;” Kaid was also quoted in a Mother Jones article about the program… In an Environmental News Service piece, David Beckman discussed the environmental and public health benefits that will result from a federal court decision finding Los Angeles County responsible for polluting a 30 mile stretch of popular LA beaches; the story has also been covered by the Associated Press, Los Angeles Times, and other outlets…

 

In a PoliticsDaily.com piece, Gina Solomon commented on the lack of adequate environmental monitoring in the Bush Administration’s EPA and praised the current administration’s efforts… Darby Hoover spoke about her environmental work and the motivation behind it in a Wisconsin Gazette article about the prevalence of environmentalism in the LGBT community…
