Health experts Sarah Janssen, and Jen Sass teamed up with the Wall Street Journal to detail concerns surrounding tap and bottled water, due to all their hard work the Journal even included NRDC’s water filter table at the end of the article (which by the way, was also picked up by the Associated Press)… In USA Today David Hawkins asserts that carbon emissions limits and fees are necessary for encouraging utilities to find innovative carbon-capture technologies… The New York Times ran an editorial condemning the Bush administration for attempting to thwart judicial oversight regarding the Navy’s use of sonar and reiterating that protecting the environment and national security can be accomplished jointly…

A lengthy front page article ran in the San Francisco Chronicle quoting both Aaron Colangelo and Gabriela Chavarria on an NRDC suit filed against EPA compelling the agency to release colony collapse disorder information… In the Associated Press Tim Grabiel asks why SoCal’s anti-smog agency, “the agency created to protect the air” is “so actively trying to pollute it?"… David Beckman supports the application of more Clean Water Act protections to the LA river in The LA TimesHenry Henderson talks about pollution in the Great Lakes and Chicago area beaches on Chicago Tonight.
