An op-ed by Joel Reynolds ran in the Los Angeles Times detailing the inherent risks associated with nuclear facilities located along US coasts; in the piece Joel recounted his own work 25 years ago to fight against a California nuclear plant that is particularly vulnerable to earthquakes… Tom Cochran criticized the design of General Electric’s Mark 1 nuclear reactor in Japan in a ClimateWire piece carried by the New York Times… In an E&E News article, David Hawkins articulated his opposition to an amendment that would strip the EPA of its authority to regulate carbon pollution that causes climate change…

In a CBS News online article, Dan Lashof condemned the House Energy and Commerce Committee for rejecting climate science… In a Greenwire piece picked up by the New York Times, Rich Kassel called on the EPA to address the problems associated with outdated diesel engines, after the EPA issued a report suggesting that Americans have significantly higher cancer risks because of toxic emissions from motor vehicles… In the Bozeman Daily Chronicle, Matt Skoglund disapproved of the cramped conditions of bison capture facilities in Yellowstone National Park which have been set up to prevent the possible spread of the disease brucellosis.  NRDC employees were quoted on this topic in other local outlets including NBC Montana, KULR-TV, Montana msnbc, and The Billings Gazette.
