John Adams’ book about founding NRDC, A Force for Nature, received rave reviews in a TreeHugger article profiling the book… Dan Lashof spoke with NPR’s Weekend Edition about how climate groups are revising the argument for global warming. Dan noted that it was a “strategic error” that the scientific community believed the climate debate was over because it allowed skeptics to cast doubt on climate change… In a Bloomberg News article, Jake Schmidt cautioned that if the Cancun climate talk does not produce a successful outcome, it could endanger the UN process… Jake was also quoted in the Washington Post, Mother Jones, China Daily, and Financial Times about the Cancun climate talks…

Tom Cochran spoke with the New York Times about Warren Buffett’s pledge to set up a global nuclear fuel bank. Tom commented that fuel banks would aid global development while avoiding proliferation risks… In a Greenwire article picked up by the New York Times, David Doniger warned that the courts may not take up the greenhouse gas 'nuisance' case… In an Associated Press piece circulated by the San Francisco Chronicle, David Pettit commented on communities that have adopted ordinances that give nature legal standing – environmental groups, individuals and government agencies can now represent nature in courts… Thom Cmar spoke in an interview that ran on Illinois Radio Network about a judge’s ruling against five states eager to stop Asian Carp from invading the Great Lakes by closing Chicago-area shipping locks; the interview was carried by 70+ radio stations across the state …
