Can a movie change the game on mountaintop removal? We may be about to see. The Last Mountain did even better than expected at the box office this weekend, and it's coming to many more theaters across the country in coming weeks. Check out the strong reviews and coverage in the New York Times, the Atlantic, the Wall Street Journal, and many more.
Meanwhile, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.--whose efforts to oppose mountaintop removal are featured in the film--is not only talking the talk but walking the walk to stand up to democracy-busting coal companies. Among many other interviews, he appeared on the Colbert Report last week to talk mountaintop removal:
And Mr. Kennedy will also be joining hundreds of activists as part of the March on Blair Mountain this week, addressing marchers at the event's climactic final rally at Blair Mountain.
Feel the momentum and pledge to catch a screening of The Last Mountain. Check here for theaters and showtimes.
