About
- Bio:
I have had the pleasure of working with all types of people to protect the environment in many corners of our beautiful country -- from Oregon, to Arkansas, to West Virginia, to Manhattan. After stints as a field organizer for the U.S Public Interest Research Group and legislative director for the Center for Biological Diversity, I joined NRDC's Center for Advocacy Campaigns in 2007. I've settled down in Washington, DC, where I spend a lot of time running and hiking in Rock Creek Park, the National Park Service's hidden gem right here within the DC city limits.
- Roots in:
- East Tennessee
- Favorite place:
- Skogafoss (a particularly neat waterfall in Iceland)
- Why "environmentalism" matters:
- To me, environmentalism is just about being a good neighbor. Most of us wouldn’t vandalize the house next door, run over our neighbor’s cat on purpose, or neglect to use the pooper scooper because it’s more convenient…so does it make any more sense to obliterate an entire species or recklessly contribute to global warming?
