The Chicago Cubs are undefeated, and we’ve recently been hit some by beautiful spring weather (though, in the name of fish, fire, fungi, and farming, I hope we get a good chunk of snow and rain in the next few months).
In light of the spring sunshine (and my guilt in not having posted a blog entry in ages), I thought I’d share a couple of cool photos I captured while out and about this past weekend.
The first is a photo of a large group of elk soaking up the sun with the Absaroka Mountains behind them (yes, notwithstanding what you may have read or heard, there are still a few elk -- tens of thousands, actually -- wandering around Montana).
The second is of a male mountain bluebird, who, like baseball and asparagus, is a classic harbinger of spring.
Happy spring. Go Cubbies.
