After two years of planning, over 50 public meetings, and participation from tens of thousands of Californian's, on August 5, 2009, the Fish & Game Commission will vote to adopt a final plan of protected areas for the North Central Coast. This promises to be an electrified meeting, leading up to this crucial vote. Stay tuned as I broadcast live blog posts from the hearing in Woodland, California.

I'm looking out over the ocean from Gualala and hoping the FGC moves to implement the IPA proposal so we get the conservation that is so strongly supported and sorely needed. Glad you're giving live updates - go get 'em!
