On Tuesday, March 22nd – in honor of World Water Day – I’ll be participating in an online panel discussion entitled “Cities and the Global Water Crisis: Managing a Vital Resource.”  (Details and registration are available here.)  I’ll be using the opportunity to highlight how US cities are investing in smarter water practices that replicate the way nature deals with rainwater, treating it as a valuable resource, not a waste.  Tune in to hear more about the use of “green infrastructure” – such as green roofs, roadside plantings, rain gardens, and rainwater harvesting – to keep pollution out of our nation’s waterways, protect and enhance drinking water supplies, and advance a wide range of urban sustainability goals.
