Time to buy an Android?

I love my iPhone.  I am a millennial (barely – I am at the top end of  the age range, but apparently I qualify), which means that I love my iPhone more than my car.

Which means that, as excited as I am about Siri, I am distressed about iOS 6 because it is going to remove Google Maps and replace it with Apple Maps, and Apple Maps will not include public transit and biking info. Gasp!

Surely, Apple knows about all the recent research showing that young people would rather take the bus if it means they can keep texting, than be trapped with their hands on the wheel.  If Apple is not going to build the iCar, at least they can make sure the iPhone caters to our mobility needs.  So I hope that Apple’s promise that third-party transit apps “will be featured, integrated, and promoted from within Maps” will play out as Apple Maps being better than Google Maps for multi-mobile people such as myself, not worse.

In the meantime, I might have to take an Android out for a test drive.

It's not the most high-end smartphone, but this one is supposed to be a little more environmentally friendly:

Another potential Android user)) That's the problem with Apple - they want to create a close community of Apple users who'll use onle Apple products and software while on Android, for exampe, you may install almost everything.

I can't wait for my contract to expire so I can get rid of my iPhone & get a better phone
