Does it feel like all you hear about these days is a bad economy and a troubled environment that in turn contributes to a bad economy (the oil spill – the worst environmental disaster in U.S. history – is casting a pall over the Gulf economy, possibly to the tune of 17,000 lost jobs and $1.2 billion in lost growth by the end of this year).  Well ,here in California we have some good news: California’s clean energy policies are creating a bright spot in our economy.  By paving the way towards a clean energy future, these policies are attracting cleantech venture capital to our state in unprecedented amounts and putting Californians to work building renewable energy and improving energy efficiency.

While much remains to be overcome, these stories serve as an important reminder that we know what it takes to get the job done.

Hope that brightens your day!
