Nice video on Curitiba's car-free main street

Earlier this week I highlighted Copenhagen's experience with creating car-free streets and a welcoming environment for walkers.  This latest short video from Streetfilms focuses on another international leader, Curitiba, Brazil.  Mostly known for its pioneering bus rapid transit system, Curitiba was also one of the first cities to sense the potential of car-free streets.  Both initiatives were championed by the city's charismatic former mayor, Jaime Lerner.  In this cool little film you can hear Lerner tell a bit of the story while observing the results:
