Jerome Simons, Herbert Scoville Jr. Peace Fellow, Washington, D.C.
I earned my degrees in Math and Physics in 2011 from Johns Hopkins University and work as a staff scientist for NRDC's nuclear program. At NRDC, I use a science approach to analyze and comment on nuclear policy and climate change and am also open for new approaches. In the past, I have worked at Hopkins and in Berlin, mostly in scientific research. In my free time, I manage the business office of the Transatlantic Youth Networks, a German-American group that engages in dialogue between Europe and the United States and like to play the alto sax. I am a native of the Rhineland and grew up in Düsseldorf, Germany and am happy to talk to you in German, French, or Dutch!
