Jim Presswood, Federal Energy Policy Director, Washington, DC
I am the Federal Energy Policy Director at NRDC and based in our Washington, D.C. office. My primary focus is on federal energy efficiency and renewable energy policies. Prior to joining NRDC in 2005, I was a staff attorney for a couple of environmental groups in the Southeast and worked on clean energy and air pollution control policies.
My views on environmental issues are informed primarily by my faith – I’m an evangelical Christian (this simply means I believe the Gospel, which is described very well here) – and by my political views – I’m a conservative Republican.
It’s a privilege to work at NRDC where we advocate clean energy policies that not only promote good stewardship of God’s creation, but also use a limited government approach that works with, not against, America’s free market economy.
