Jordan Kessler, Director, Member Outreach and Leadership Support,
When I was 14, I moved to New York. I went to The Dalton School and then Columbia, where I was a DJ on WKCR 89.9 FM. After college, I worked for the Anti-Defamation League, fighting hate groups. Following a stint with the Stax Museum of American Soul Music, I wondered what to do next. I thought about what’s really, truly important, and realized there’s not much that could possibly be as important as protecting our environment. That’s when I came to NRDC, where I work with NRDC’s generous Members and on NRDC’s partnership with the band Green Day.

I've been hearing a lot about climate change playing a major role in the recent weather events we've all heard about on the news. What's even more interesting to me is the lack of media attention to the role of...continued→
