I came to the NRDC Beijing Office in 2009 leaving my previous work and family behind in Korea, but came with the excitement of starting a new family, married to a Chinese, and a new job that I value so much. When I had my first job in China in 2003, I thought I would spend a couple of years and never come back. Someone said “Life is a box of chocolates” – who knew I would end up living in China with a Chinese husband! Although, it was not only my husband who brought me to China, but I also saw the tremendous potential of improving energy efficiency in China and how important that is to all of us.
