LIVE: Ask NRDC President Frances Beinecke Tuesday, 11/10 at 9:45 a.m. EST

Book cover The Senate has started debating the Clean Energy Jobs and American Power Act, and in just a few weeks, the United Nations climate meetings in Copenhagen will begin.

I have chosen this moment to release my first book, Clean Energy Common Sense.

I hope this book will inspire Americans to action. I want it to help people to better understand the facts behind global climate change, and to engage with this most critical issue of our time.

That includes you. I will be meeting with reporters at the National Press Club to talk about my new book, and I will take questions submitted online. We'll select some of your questions to be answered live at the event. Please join in.

When: Tuesday, November 10, 9:45 a.m. EST

Where: National Press Club, Washington, D.C.

I have a problem with chatting up "global warming" when so many people do not believe in it. I think we had more followers when we worked for conservation & ecology. The term global warming seemed to bring tension to the mix.
