Public Transportation Investment Recovered!

Public Transportation Investment Recovered!

The amendment I wrote about just a few hours ago was just passed by voice vote! That means little or no opposition against it. This is a good augury for public transportation, as I imply in the statement we just sent out:

"I am thrilled that the House voted to increase funding for our nation's public transit. Our nation's transit systems are experiencing the highest level of ridership in 25 years, and this extra funding will go a long way to improve our rail systems and maintain the jobs needed to keep them running. Congress is clearly catching up with public support for more and cleaner transportation choices."
