As the late, great Tim Russert's late, great mentor Senator Moynihan said to an electoral opponent: Everyone is entitled to his own opinion, but not his own facts.
This applies to Presidents too, but Bush just doesn't get it.
As a guide to his latest gusher of falsehoods (his "drill everywhere" speech yesterday), Apollo Gonzales, Rob Perks and I provide a split-screen contrast between the shameless fabrications and unshakable realities. If you have problems viewing the presentation below, check it out by clicking here.

Great video and slides...but Iam confused by the poll cited in which 74percent of the public wants clean energy vs. oil drilling. There seem to be other polls out there such as the most recent Pew poll that say otherwise. What polls should we believe?

There are several polls out, and more are coming. The thing to remember is that while there is some movement in the numbers, support for efficiency and/or alternatives remains strong. This is not to say that millions of dollars' worth of advertising and repetition of a short, simplistic message about drilling aren't having an effect. Another note: Pay attention to the way questions are asked, it can skew the results.

As a physician, we learn to understand the physiology of a disease before treating it.
In Earth's history, there have been considerably warmer periods well documented by science. Greenland we now know, was actually green when discovered. Cooling periods have had devastating effects on humanity and other living things. Warmer periods have had a beneficial effect. This is far too complex to cover in a comment. I don't like to be told what to think. I can come up with my own conclusions. The Global warming data is so simplified that it ignores all the other facts. We are at the verge of the next ice age. That should scare the hell out of the world, not the global warming. That climate changes occur is like saying that the more things change, the more they stay the same. CO2 levels are one of many factors. If there is no understanding of the physiology of Earth's climate then you missed it. We call that brain washing. Why was Greenland green? Why did it grow cold. Why did we have the famines? Why do we have ice ages? We have major ones and minor ones in Earth's history. Why was the Earth frequently and cyclically much warmer in the past than today? Antartica had forests. Alska had warm costal waters 100,000,000 years ago. If you want the data, I can give it to you. If you are one that does not want to be confused with the facts, you are just following the pack. I have no problem with conservation. I have a problem with jumping to conclusions. Weather reporting is still very limited. Chaos theory limits predictability. Explain the prior ice ages and prior warming periods. If you cannot, then you don't have all the facts.
