How can our country adopt a carbon pollution policy if Republicans won't even come to the negotiating table?  All seven GOP senators on the Environment and Public Works Committee are now boycotting hearings on the Kerry-Boxer climate bill, taking denial to a new level.  If there was one encouraging moment from the hearings this morning, it was Senator Frank Lautenberg talking about the urgency of cutting carbon pollution in light of what he's learned from NRDC's new film ACID TEST, with Sigourney Weaver.

It's great that the film made an impression on him, and he's trying to raise awareness among his colleagues about the threat to marine life (and therefore people) of rising ocean acidity.
