The Windy City & Wind

The Windy City & Wind

The WINDPOWER 2009 Conference & Exhibition kicks off May 4 - 7, 2009 in Chicago, Illinois. This is the largest annual wind conference and exhibition in the world and extremely timely in light of America's new commitment to renewable energy, particularly offshore wind. On April 22, 2009 President Obama and Department of Interior Secretary Salazar announced a framework for renewable energy development on the United States Outer Continental Shelf. This framework comes after the Department of Interior and Federal Energy Regulatory Commission's Memorandum of Understanding. NRDC has been tracking these issues very closely. I have included additional blog links from my colleagues on these issues. Stay tuned next week for more details and conference updates...
